Research Interests

My primary research involves analyses of land-use and land-use changes that may help mitigate the accumulation of atmospheric greenhouse gases.  The research focuses predominantly on agricultural and reclaimed mine lands.  One outcome of the research is to identify alternative income streams for landowners, especially agricultural producers.  My research also involves analysis of water allocation between urban and agricultural use.  These research activities combine the application of production, natural resource, and environmental economics.
