Activities at
WVU:
- Develop
and update a geographically referenced information system identifying mine
sites with large volume (>1000 gpm) discharges. Correlate relevant information, including
tourism and unemployment data, as GIS coverages, for the purpose of developing
the best use of these underutilized water resources.
- Advising Marion County Parks and Recreation Commission (MCPARC) on the conversion of an acid mine water treatment plant into a recreational fishing park.
