The Experiment Station's primary source of expertise and talent are the faculty of the Davis College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Consumer Sciences.  Approximately 30 full-time-equivalent scientist years are "hired" from the faculty most of whom have teaching assignments in the Davis College. The scientists are supported in their research by graduate students and research staff. In 1997, research of the Station's scientists was reported in 107 publications. There were also 48 theses and dissertations completed by graduate students that same year.
